{Photographs by Kimi Kolba}

Joke and I were honored to be invited by Martha Stewart's The Crafts Dept. to participate in their Gift Wrap Challenge. We had a fun time brainstorming and coming up with several different packaging ideas under the theme of stitched packages. Although people often think using a sewing machine or needle and thread is something only to be applied to fabric we wanted to show some fun and interesting ways to add details and texture to paper. Although we came up with a grouping of stitched packages our "PULL" tag stitched package is the one we highlighted for the Gift Wrap Challenge. You can download the "PULL" tag printable here.

Please pop over to The Crafts Dept. blog to see the step by step instructions and visual tutorial. We want to extend a big thanks to Kimi Kolba, our photographer, who was a delight to work with and stayed true to our vision for this photoshoot.

And if you haven't started wrapping your holiday packages please feel free to download our "PULL" tags and incorporate them in to your packaging. If you like our Gift Wrap Challenge submission, we would love to have your vote! (Voting is on Friday only.) And if you would like to see how we created the other stitched packages come on back as we will be posting about the packages all week long.
